Dorean Gordon Williams

Bio

Dorean joined the former FIU Foundation Office of Inclusive Philanthropy as the Director of Development in March 2022. In keeping with State of Florida legislation, the FIU Foundation Office of Inclusive Philanthropy has been eliminated. She has transitioned to Director of Development, Foundation Relations and Individual Giving; her role includes implementing strategic initiatives to cultivate and solicit philanthropic funding. Dorean has over 20 years of experience in fundraising, alumni engagement, community outreach, healthcare, and service excellence. During her tenure at the University of Miami (UM), she rebuilt and established a thriving broad base of leadership and philanthropic support throughout the alumni, student base, and community, encouraging exponential growth in affinity and campus-based philanthropy and programming winning a 2021 CASE District III and two Circle of Excellence Awards for her work with the UM Black Alumni Society's programming.    

Dorean holds a Master's in Health Services Administration from Florida International University (a Panther at Heart) and an undergraduate degree in Government from Cornell University. She enjoys volunteering, bowling, softball, music, and photography.
